Having a Villa Tre Grazie wedding is about the best place on the planet to exchange your vows. We’ve always believed the ultimate wedding is to take a small group of family and friends on a trip somewhere you absolutely love. Why not experience your Villa Tre Grazie wedding and a powerful life adventure all in one; especially when the pure nature of the place you go is extraordinarily intimate and rich with history and beauty? With determined research, skillful planning and lots of passion it’s possible. And it doesn’t have to cost as much as one would think. Shannon and Kiernan strongly embraced this vision and convinced a small group of their family and friends to join them. They rented a beloved 16th-century countryside Renaissance villa near a hillside town called Todi in the heart of Umbria, Italy. Villa Tre Grazie hosts 26 rooms, 11 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, high frescoed ceilings, a gorgeous pool, and breathtaking panoramic views all surrounded by olive orchards. There’s even a 17th-century chapel inside. When you walk into this place it is like walking into a dream. When the warmth, charm, and love of Shannon and Kiernan along with 40 family and friends arrived at this villa, their dream immediately became a reality.
From the bride: “Kiernan and I met nine years ago in Eugene Oregon while in our sophomore year of college, at the University of Oregon (big Duck fans!). Since college, we’ve spent various months together and months apart while finishing school. We’ve stuck together through three military moves and a year-long deployment. Spending so much time mastering the art of a long-distance relationship helped create individualities that only made us grow stronger when we got to spend time together. Among many interests traveling is our biggest passion. We love traveling to different countries and embracing the cultures, making new acquaintances, and eating delicious food! We have been to 25 countries including Greece, Ireland, Thailand and of course Italy being a few of our favorites. We are always up for a new adventure. Kiernan and I were engaged in Ireland in June 2013 after climbing the steps of the Blarney Castle, and kissing the Blarney Stone at the top. Making memories through travel is so important to the two of us and it is just one of the reasons we decided on a destination wedding. We really wanted our friends and family to join us on one of our biggest and most memorable adventures yet. Italy has always been one of our favorite places, and we knew the backdrop would be the romantic and intimate setting we’d hoped for… not to mention a top destination for most people, with rich history to make the journey worth it. Our love is pretty simple. We’ve been best friends for nearly a decade. Making each other laugh is one of our best attributes and we also make pretty good dance partners.” Their Villa Tre Grazie wedding was priceless!
