Ashley and Jake’s Timberline Lodge Winter Wedding was a wedding ten years in the making. The emotions were so beautiful. Backstory. Ashley and Jake moved to Portland, OR from Minnesota after meeting in college, ten years ago. They’ve spent the last decade exploring the Pacific Northwest (and beyond). They splashed around hot springs north of Tofino, BC. They hiked through the Redwoods in Northern California. They trekked along the Great Wall in China. Some of their earliest adventures together, though, were skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Hood. They said “to be honest, the moment we walked through the doors of Timberline Lodge all those years ago… we knew exactly where we wanted to get married someday.” And a Timberline Lodge winter wedding was the perfect fit.
Ashley and Jake saw each other for the first time outside as you can see in the first photo below. Ashley surprised Jake with a beautiful custom ring, and yes, caught him by total surprise. They got married in the Raven’s Nest upstairs in the massive artesian architecture of the main Lodge at Timberline. 50 friends and family surrounded them as they enjoyed a stress-free day and evening connecting with everyone. Light snow fell outside during the evening. So beautiful.
