Sara and Wes’s Silcox Hut wedding couldn’t have been a better setting. Their style is very “Northwest” rustic and earthy. They both never envisioned a traditional wedding, yet when they toured Silcox Hut at the top of Mt Hood they knew right away that they wanted to get married there. The fresh mountain air, the vast views, and the feeling of cozy and history was perfect. Having a Silcox Hut wedding always offers such intimacy for the couple to connect between themselves and family and friends. The Timberline team supported them to have the most gracious and fun experience. As photographers, this is ideal for us since they were ushered through a variety of backdrops while having the time of their lives.
Sara and Wes’s aim was to bring together the people they love most for a unique night on Mt Hood all together. Since Silcox Hut is so unique and incredible on it’s own, the plan for decorations was minimal. The feel of the hut speaks for itself. Sara and Wes love photography and wanted to bring in some artistic flair and authentic photojournalism their wedding. All of us were an immediate fit.
These two are all about small gestures and random acts of kindness. They love adventure too as you can see them happily running in the snow. During their ceremony, the emotions and connections with family and friends was as authentic as it comes. You can see it reflected in the photography. The combination of fun, emotion, and free-flowing activities is where the best story is told. We think the images speak for themselves.
