Amanda and August’s Saltys wedding on Alki Beach in Seattle was one of those stunning summer days filled with bright blue skies and clouds that look like oil paintings. Salty’s gorgeous panoramic view of Elliott Bay and the Seattle city skyline was the perfect backdrop for their outdoor wedding ceremony. We first met Amanda and August over a fun Skype date and learned that both August and Amanda have one of those relationships where fate was their luck. August was born and raised in Maryland and moved to Seattle in 2009. Amanda was born and raised in China, moved to Canada in 2005, then relocated to Seattle in 2012. Luck had them meet in a coffee shop and Hawaii was the backdrop of their proposal.
Both of them love to travel and on their wedding day, we explored many corners of Seattle. From the Hayatt House (where both of them got ready) a flower-covered rooftop, strolling through the bustling markets, the EMP museum and a ferry boat ride across the bay to Saltys restaurant with award-winning views of Seattle’s Skyline. We planned their wedding timeline with enough room between locations for an easy and stress-free experience. Everywhere we went people celebrated their wedding day including an entire Indian wedding party who decided to circle around them dancing and singing. This was a perfect moment to also capture the entire Seattle cityscape in the background. The color and excitement of the day along with the beautiful bluebird sky was the perfect experience for this Saltys wedding experience. Life and love are good! Hats off to Amanda and August.
