Meg and Devon’s rustic Oregon wedding at Camp Cedar Ridge was a three-day wedding experience in Vernonia, Oregon, lead to us from a heartfelt referral. The relationships we develop through our ongoing connections set everything in the right motion. Couples have either seen us deep in marathon action at a wedding, seen the quantity and quality of moments we capture, and ultimately trust us to do what we do. This opens up everything in so many ways and frees our couples to 100% be themselves on their wedding day and have the most authentic experience possible. Naturally, this reflects the best wedding photography!
The moment we met Meg and Devon we knew we were stepping into the warm waters of very sincere loving people. They described how they wanted a rustic Oregon wedding with a woodsy/outdoors kind theme with “Garden Party” attire for their Camp Cedar Ridge wedding. Their summer camp wedding vibe was loose and relaxed.
Meg and Devon have been together for over 7 years, and have a tight bond. They lived in a travel trailer for about 4 years, and just last year bought a house in Carlton, OR! Wow! “They are open and honest about their feelings and get along well. They often play music together, which makes a good day great, or a sad feelings day better. They are outdoorsy folks and love dispersed camping in their 4-Runner/stealth camper with/ their pup, Theo. They are big DIYers with/ almost everything they do & both work in Stop Motion Animation.” Hello!!! The creative personal touches they infused into this rustic Oregon wedding were just unbelievably unique. Among so many details, Meg’s mom made the wedding dress?!
Their rustic Oregon wedding celebration was held at an outdoor venue, at a summer camp (Camp Cedar Ridge) with 85 guests. “Summer camp” couldn’t have been a better way to describe the fun of this group. One of the best aspects of this venue is their ceremony & reception are very close together (lodging & parking too) in the wooded area on the property which ushers their guests in and out of a constantly changing backdrop without having to go far. This allowed for great bonding moments between everyone without stress.
As with all weddings, we dove deep into the entire multi-day experience with everyone. From early morning breakfasts, late night music jams around the fire, rehearsal, their entire wedding day, late night dancing, and last day with a grand fun slip and slide. Our trusted Geekoto lights didn’t miss a shot! And our MagnetMod tools help focus our light on all the right faces. And Aftershoot helped us edit with speed and precision.
These images reflect their personalities and bond better than any words we can say. We adore these two so much and fell in love with all their family and friends. We are in absolute awe of how they live and love.
