Jeneva and Clinton’s Portland engagement date took us on a unique and wild adventure. These two literally have the best chemistry. Filled with an endless capacity for conversations they can play, joke, laugh, and connect anywhere they go. It really doesn’t matter where they are, they design a wonderland of play anywhere and everywhere. So awesome. They spent the good part of the afternoon wandering around Portland’s Northwest Nob Hill weaving in and out of boutique shops, having fun with their dog, and laughing the entire time while we shadowed every move on their Portland engagement date. Starting at Barista for quite possibly the best coffee in Portland from some of the finest roasters in the world, then over to Papa Hyden’s sample their European style desserts. Not too much, but just enough. This was the perfect time for them to head over to Powells Books to explore some interesting books.
As the sun dropped we headed into a night shoot over at Mary’s Club just a few blocks down from Powells Books. Clinton’s grandfather started the oldest piano bar in Portland, Oregon, in the United States: Mary’s Club. This club started way back in the 1930s and featured comics, musicians, singers, dancers, and other acts. Given the historical background for Clinton’s family, they asked us to join them to capture some night photos of them at Mary’s Club. Clinton got photo permission from the club for us. We only had 30 seconds to capture a creative photo of them with a dancer moving on roller-skates in a dark setting. No pressure on us!!! LOL Cheers to Jeneva and Clinton! What a fun, adventurous, and unusual Portland engagement date!
Be sure to see their lovely Cathedral Park Wedding photos.
