The Lan Su Chinese Garden nestled in the heart of downtown Portland is one of the best-hidden jewels in the city, especially for a private wedding. There is a reason it’s named as Portland’s most unique private event venue. There are zig-zag walkways that twist and turn through beautifully arranged landscapes with water, special stones, and true Chinese architecture. Every corner of this special garden is a story. Its the perfect place for a small wedding with 50 or even up to 300 guests.
Checkout the Chinese Teahouse too, it’s as authentic as it gets with artisan Chinese furniture, lanterns, and beautiful views of the garden since it is two-stories high. The San Su Chinese Garden is perfectly located being walking distance from all the major Portland downtown hotels and MAX trains. Portland’s best catering and event team Vibrant Table Group treats everyone with the perfect touch. Kelsea and Tal had a unique wedding reception celebration with the theme of dragons and books with colors of pink and blue. They began at a private estate in Lake Oswego getting ready and enjoyed their celebration in the garden for a beautiful evening.
As the evening set in, Kelsea and Tal’s Portland Chinese Gardens elopement reception continued in the serene atmosphere of the Lan Su Chinese Garden. Lanterns illuminated the reception, creating a gorgeous environment for their intimate gathering. Surrounded by family and friends, the garden provided the most beautiful backdrop for their wedding, reflecting their unique style and warm hearted feelings. The Chinese gardens is one of our favorite places to visit in Portland, and especially photographing a wedding.
