After watching the movie Midnight in Paris last night we began to reflect on the Paris engagement date we did with Jazz and Alex the day before their French chateau wedding in Normandie at Manoir des Prevanches. It’s such an inspiration to reflect back on this beautiful experience with Jazzminh Moore and Alex Tilmant who live in New York. Many of the same backdrops in the movie were the same as during our lifestyle shoot.  The poetics of Paris simply engulf you and it’s the perfect backdrop to take your lovely and simply let the streets guide you where ever they go.  Life is so short, beautiful, and fragile!  Why not take time to explore some of the best moments in your life in a magical city?  Some of the most treasured pleasures are just simply taking a walk with your loved one, taking time to slow down and become present with each breath we take, each heartbeat we have.

This is an older post from 2008 and while our photography style has changed, we feel it’s important to share how our craft has evolved. During this session for example we had not yet mastered off-camera flash, so we were only exploring natural light and angles. Today we also primarily photograph horizontally to frame more storytelling real estate into the image. However, one thing that is constant throughout our photography is capturing “moments” which we have always valued above all.  Real moments are timeless and will live on forever. We feel lucky to work with so many couples who trust us to capture their true authentic selves. The experience and results always shine no matter how much time passes. This is what it’s all about.

If you are going to be in Paris, let us know in advance. We will help you plan a fun, creative, meaningful, and adventurous Paris engagement date.
