Bereka and AJ’s Mt Hood engagement photos outing couldn’t have been the more perfect spot for them to explore with us. These two met in Government Camp on Mt Hood and love to ski together. They have connections up at Ski Bowl and were given special access to the slopes for a fun and adventurous day walking through the forest paths, hillsides, private lakes, and warming hut at Ski Bowl. It was one of those last sunny days in the Northwest where the warmth is still in the air with a hint of a cool Autumn edge. Our favorite time of year! We walked through massive orange ferns, up underneath the ski lift, in fields of ferns, enjoyed a few beers at the warming hut, and stayed until sunset. We also found a hidden lake where we could reflect Mt hood in the water and get them in the shot. Note: we got wet climbing through the bushes to get this shot, but worth every effort!
What a great time to share connecting with them as a foundation for photographing their wedding, especially ending up at Charlie’s where they first met in Government camp. These two brought historical meaning to their Mt Hood engagement photos. They are planning to print a dozen or more of these photos in large paned windows that stand in an A-frame at their reception dinner. What a great idea and inspiration to share on their wedding day, not to mention using them for their website to also create buzz. We can’t wait to capture their BIG barn wedding with 400+ guests next May 28th, 2017.
