Corinna and Aaron’s Mendocino Coast wedding weekend proved to us again how powerful multi-day wedding experiences are. From walks along the headland bluffs looking out over the Pacific ocean together while listening to the ocean and watching the sunset to all the small interactions in between. Finding a venue where everyone can share time together, do fun activities together. The Spring Ranch, a historic private property on the rugged Northern California coast, fulfilled everything for this crew. The “grand Victorian” mansion has a big a wrap-around porch, stone fireplace, large dining room, and awesome hot tub. We joined in and followed everyone, everywhere, the whole time waiting for all the best moments, light, and scenic compositions. There are wonderful state parks surrounding this venue for great day trips. This is a much bigger endeavor on our end, but worth every effort. We can’t help but fall in love with all the characters and stories. This gives us extra energy to go the extra mile. We love it when couples welcome us openly to weave ourselves into the entire story. This way we arrive with the guests and leave with the guests giving us access to document everything.
True love has a way of tearing right through you when you encounter it. No questions asked. No words needed. The connection just keeps flowing right through you. While looking through Corinna and Aaron’s wedding photos we kept feeling their love over again and at times weeping with joy. Something like ocean waves, how they continually crashing forward and the vastness of the sea just keeps wrapping itself around you. This is what life is all about.
We have been honored by shooting 4 weddings within this community of family and friends. Sarah and Tito, Jeff and Abra, Taylor and Daniel, and now Corinna and Aaron’s Mendocino Coast wedding. Each experience continues to deepen our connection with everyone. The love this community shares is so pure, real, and fun. Spring Ranch was an epic location for their ceremony under a grove of massive eucalyptus trees and reception in a rustic barn all surrounded by open meadows. All enframed by beautiful stonework, wrought iron fencing, antique wooden carts, vintage farm equipment, and lots of smiling faces.
When Corinna and Aaron spoke the words “fearless love” in their vows it was something like the color of the sky sacredly whispering life’s most precious secret.
