Some wedding stories begin quietly, and that quiet becomes the foundation for something expansive.
Paloma and Oduche’s wedding story is unfolding across places, cultures, and seasons, ultimately culminating in a luxury destination wedding in Málaga, Spain at Finca La Concepcion Marbella. Long before guests gather in southern Spain, their journey began with an intimate Orlando courthouse wedding, intentionally small and centered on presence rather than production.
Their legal ceremony in Florida was shared only with immediate family, including Paloma’s grandmother, who traveled from Spain to the U.S. for the first time to be there! Spontaneous and free of expectation, the day held exactly what it needed: time together, meaningful connection, and the quiet significance of becoming married. Choosing a legal ceremony before a destination wedding gave the moment space to breathe, allowing it to exist on its own terms.
As the evening softened, we stepped away together for a short sunset lifestyle session. No timeline to chase, no performance, just Paloma and Oduche walking, laughing, and settling into the first hours of married life. These quieter sessions often hold the most honesty, and the images reflect that ease.
Even then, the next chapters were already taking shape. Conversations drifted toward what was coming: several days with friends in New Orleans, shared homes filled with laughter, unforgettable food, and music spilling into the streets. Their bachelor and bachelorette celebrations weren’t planned as a single night, but as time together, an organic gathering shaped by friendship and the rhythm of the city.
This story feels full-circle for us. We first met Paloma and Oduche in Marrakech during a week-long celebration where community formed quickly and deeply. From Morocco to Orlando, and soon to New Orleans and Spain, their wedding continues to unfold across places and people. It’s exactly the kind of story that draws us to photographing multi-day destination weddings in Spain and beyond.
Later in the year, that energy carries them across the ocean to Málaga, where their celebration will stretch over several days at Finca La Concepción Marbella, a timeless Málaga destination wedding venue surrounded by gardens, history, and Andalusian light. With pre-wedding gatherings and a symbolic ceremony honoring both Paloma’s Spanish roots and Oduche’s Nigerian heritage, the celebration is layered with meaning, movement, and connection. Thoughtfully planned by Love Atope, the days ahead are designed to feel immersive, effortless, and deeply personal.
What makes celebrations like this so powerful is not scale alone, but intention. When time is built into the experience, time to arrive, to connect, to celebrate without rushing, the story deepens. Guests don’t just attend, they become part of the rhythm of the place. Mornings stretch into afternoons, conversations linger, and memories form not only during the ceremony, but in the spaces around it.
This layered approach also allows each chapter to carry its own emotional weight, the intimacy of a courthouse wedding, the joy and anticipation of gathering friends in New Orleans, the richness of a destination celebration rooted in culture, family, and place. None of these moments compete with one another, they complement each other, creating a fuller and more honest reflection of the couple’s lives.
This is why we’re drawn to weddings like this. When a story is allowed to unfold slowly, through courthouse ceremonies, weekends with friends, and multi-day destination celebrations, it becomes more than a single day. Each moment feels lived-in and real, building a rich narrative that tells the full story of the couple’s journey. As Portland wedding photographers, we regularly travel abroad for weddings, capturing celebrations across Europe, including this unforgettable wedding in Spain. Explore more of our approach and see other destination weddings we’ve photographed.
For couples planning something expansive, there is freedom in this approach. Separating the legal and ceremonial moments creates space for intention, allowing celebrations to unfold across different cities or countries invites presence rather than pressure, and choosing photographers who can follow the full arc of the story ensures continuity when your wedding is not confined to one place or one weekend.
Orlando was the calm beginning, New Orleans will be joyful and unfiltered, Málaga will be the culmination of it all, and we’re grateful to be there, documenting every chapter as it unfolds.
If your wedding story spans cities or countries, we’d love to capture every chapter, from intimate moments to multi-day celebrations, so your memories feel as authentic and layered as your life together. Inquire with us here to start your story.

5-Star Review
“what truly stayed with us was the energy, warmth, and joy they bring into every moment. That is what I really want to express in this review: they don’t just document a wedding, they create an experience that makes you feel comfortable, seen, and completely yourself.”
