Rianne and Shandy’s oceanfront Kailua Kona Wedding was unbelievably moving. If there are 2 places on this planet to share your love, Rianne and Shandy found them: Kona, Hawaii & Cinque Terra, Italy.
In May of 2014 Shandy proposed to Rianne in Manarola Italy along the stunning cliffs of Cinque Terre. And on October 1st, 2015 they were married on a private beachfront at Kona Beach Bungalows in Kailua Kona, which hosts the largest “private beachfront home” in Hawaii. The majority of their best friends and family stayed in this epic home and shared an experience of a lifetime. When we first met Rianne and Shandy in NE Portland at Tea Bar we immediately connected with them about their Cinque Terre proposal story that resonated so closely with ours.
Flying with them to Hawaii and spending several days with them in the salty warmth and gardenia fragrances of Kona was truly a dream wedding to capture. When Rianne and Shandy opened up to share their vows an ocean of emotion poured through everyone. Their vows “together through life” now tattooed on one another are true poetry. What better place to express your love than right on an oceanfront with waves crashing and family and friends cheering you on!
The Kona Beach Bungalows provided the perfect setting for this intimate and luxurious celebration. Many guests stayed on-site, making it a weekend to remember. With crashing waves as their soundtrack and a glowing Hawaiian sunset as their backdrop, Rianne and Shandy’s Kailua Kona wedding ceremony was nothing short of poetic. When they shared their vows, the emotions flowed freely, touching everyone in attendance.
The celebration didn’t end there. After the ceremony, the couple hosted an epic reception that featured a lively pool party and unforgettable dancing late into the night. One of the most fantastic pool parties and late-night crazy dancing we’ve ever seen. So fun! The energy, love, and laughter filled the tropical air, making it a once-in-a-lifetime event.
