An incredibly fun and intimate Silcox Hut wedding on Mt Hood above Timberline Lodge. Courtney and Brian have a unique story. We learned that when Courtney moved to Corvallis, Oregon from Fargo, North Dakota she met Andrew through her roommate. They say “it wasn’t exactly ‘love at first sight,” in fact, Andrew was wondering just who the heck this crazy girl was, but by a twist of fate, 5 years later the two bonded over an extended game of beer pong. Through it, all the two have stuck it out and on November 30th, 2020, amidst the middle of a Covid-19 lockdown, Andrew popped the question. Courtney caught off guard, immediately told him to ‘Shut up!’ before quickly recovering and telling him ‘OF COURSE!’ An unexpectedly wonderful ending, to a completely awful year.”

Photographing these two was non-stop entertaining and meaningful. Capturing their engagement lifestyle adventure in the streets of Portland was filled with creative light, shadow, and gentle breeze. Having quality time like this is so great; it sets up success in all the right ways. When it came to photographing their intimate Silcox Hut wedding everything flowed smoothly. What more could you ask for than the top of the mountain all to yourself, clean air, vast views, and a small rustic cozy hut with your closest family and friends?  The great thing about these two is they keep connected in the moment where ever we went with them. This is the best for us because while they are simply enjoying themselves we shadowed them capturing every action and small unique gesture along the way. The best photography is always real life, reflecting the best story.
