Lindsay and Jeff’s House on Metolius wedding was absolutely beautiful. When we first met with Lindsay and Jeff at the Tea Bar in NE Portland our conversation lasted 4+ hours. The humor and depth of these two is seriously contagious. We heard the most in detailed stories about their lives. They are a free-flowing river of timeless energy, entertainment, and depth. We immediately knew it would be an incredible adventure getting to know them from day one. We loved every minute of it.
They chose one of the most gorgeous settings in Oregon along the Metolious River for their House on Metolius wedding. With 120 guests their ceremony was in an outdoor meadow, literally right next to the Metolius River and en-framed by majestic mountains. This venue sits on two-hundred acres of private land astride the river, surrounded by millions of acres of national forest. Not only is nature profound here but the history reaches far back. House on Metolius has served as a private estate and retreat for over a hundred years. They held their reception on the lawn of the house, which sits atop a hill above the meadow. Epic belly-laughing stories (don’t ask about the ham sandwich!), beautiful heart-felt speeches, and dancing late into the night. Absolutely breathtaking. The weekend carried an “aroma of casual Americana with a touch of nostalgia, turning downright funky under the full moon. Grubbier-than-Gatsby swing era Friday, bookended with “putting’ on the ritz” bluegrass-hippie style Saturday.”
