Missy and Colin’s Exchange Ballroom wedding had all the charm of Portland mixed with the best class and elegance anyone could ask for. Their day flowed with a variety of backdrops which made for a diverse set of photos and an exciting experience for everyone.
Missy got ready in her Portland home while Colin got ready at the RiverPlace Hotel. They came together at Laurelhurst Park to connect and enjoy time together with some fun photos where they met with family and friends near a small lake, large trees and beautiful greenery. Since we cushioned transitional time into their schedule they had plenty of time to connect with each other and family and friends as they eased into heading over to the East Side Exchange building to get married in the Exchange Ballroom. That ballroom is so lovely because large windows near the front allow natural light to flood into the large space and illuminate everyone’s faces for some great candid photos. The natural light is also helpful for us to combine our off-camera flash to help make the photos pop even more. Following their ceremony, they enjoyed a cocktail hour on the Cascade Rooftop where they could see dramatic views of the downtown Portland skyline and a gorgeous sunset. The guests love the space on the rooftop allowing everyone enjoy hors d’oeures, drinks, and mingle. This cocktail hour also allows the Exchange Ballroom wedding team to transform the space from the ceremony to an exquisite reception dinner setting (Vibrant Table is the best!). Missy and Colin enjoyed their reception dinner and dancing in The Exchange Ballroom. Missy and her father’s duet dance burst everyone into the best of laughs. So fun. So gorgeous, and timeless.
