Cafe Brauer Wedding - Chicago - Caroline & Will

Caroline and Will’s Cafe Brauer Wedding weekend celebration was about as good as it gets. They started off their Chicago weekend wedding celebration with pretty much the most unforgettable welcome dinner we’ve ever seen. They invited all of their family and friends to meet at The iO Theater. They began in the outside back cocktail area that has a massive brick wall and space for large gatherings before everyone headed into the theatre. Caroline and Will have some fabulous friends who happen to be quite articulate, so they opened the stage up for fun toasts while everyone sat in the theatre seats. The speeches were off the charts filled with stories, deep love, and some huge laughs. What better time and space for speeches! Then who shows up on stage? The Improvised Shakespeare Company who proceeds to perform a world-class custom comedy show staring who??? “Caroline & Will.” The performers began by interviewing Caroline and Will (in front of everyone) with some of the most detailed questions about each of their personalities and relationship dynamic. That alone was fascinating but what became even more captivating was how the performers improvised an entire story from “the words” they gathered from Caroline and Will for over an hour-long performance. Performers walked on and off the stage in various characters brilliantly acting out the “story” of Caroline and Will. Belly laughs, howling, and crying tears burst from everyone over the eloquent imaginations of this epic improv team. Ahhhmazing!!!!

Caroline and Will celebrated their wedding ceremony, cocktails, and reception all at the same location: Cafe Brauer, Lincoln Park Zoo. This space is one of Chicago’s highly sought after wedding venues. The historic place dates back to 1908 and has timeless architecture set in the perfect Chicago location. The interior of the Great Hall has chandeliers, mosaics, stained-glass windows, and a massive skylit roof. It also offers spectacular views of the parks and skyline. 180 guests enjoyed cocktail hour outdoors on a covered loggia while they flipped the Great Hall room for dinner catered by Hogsalt and Tigerlily Events. The decor by Stems, Inc was simple and minimal – instead of flowers lots of greenery and candles on the tables and above the dancefloor. This was an excellent backdrop for Caroline and Will to easily interact stress-free with family and friends for one of the most memorable days of their lives.
