Jeneva and Clinton had a fun-packed collection of charming Portland events for their Cathedral Park wedding. Cathedral Park is one of the most sought-after outdoor wedding venues in Portland, especially for small elopements during Covid. The historic feeling of this bridge with its gothic arches and expansive views made this the perfect spot to exchange their vows. Jeneva and Clinton got ready at the historic Benson Hotel, their ceremony under the massive arches of Cathedral Park surrounded by fun lifestyle photos from their engagement shoot with us.
Clusters of fun giant bubbles fluttered everywhere during their ceremony while they exchanged personal vows. Following their ceremony, they took a speed boat ride down the Willamette river to their lovely reception at Portland’s 2nd oldest historic restaurant, Besaw’s. It was a quintessential Portland day and night with the character of Besaw’s 112-year-old ambiance in the heart of northwest Portland, acoustic guitar and singing, fresh farm-to-table food, and laughter and love flowing through everyone.
It was a bitter-sweet last wedding at Besaw’s since it will close on May 29th, 2015 after 112 years of being in business. Yet as Cana Flung, Besaw’s owner, said the original crew at Besaw’s is “on to bigger and better things.” By the end of 2015 summer Besaws will be relocating just down the street and continue their tradition of serving the best food, the finest people, fresh ingredients, commitment to local, organic, and sustainable farmers. Besaw’s is known for having countless marriage proposals, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, memorials, and celebrations that have given Northwest Portland a sweet spot of endless memories. The new Besaw’s building located in Portland at 1545 NW 21st Avenue. Portland, Oregon 97209.
