A gorgeous day with Kim & Fred in San Francisco for their Baker Beach engagement photos. Quality time together connecting in San Francisco with a picnic and a mini-adventure was a great way to begin their wedding journey. We love getting to know our couples this way which helps us capture their wedding that much better. Spending time with them allows us to get to know their chemistry, learn about how they communicate, and build trust. When couples trust us that frees them up to be their true authentic selves on their wedding day knowing “we’ve got this.” This goes to the heart of a wedding experience and all the actions and emotions expressed on the wedding day will be reflected in the photography. Building a relationship through an engagement photo session helps us to adapt to their personalities and ultimately knowing how to tell their story best.
Exploring Baker Beach engagement photos for these two was the perfect spot for having a picnic, enjoying the ocean, sun, a few surfers, and the views along the bay. Kim and Fred love their “connection time” and prioritize it knowing the seeds of their time together will feed their relationship. This sunny San Francisco day was warm and bright and full of fun. They hiked up the sand dunes and enjoyed the big colorful trees with massive roots. Oh, and yes, we got wet capturing this first photo while chest-deep in the surf with our cameras. We get fired up to capture the best of the best. They have a special liking to the San Francisco bridge and wanted a dramatic photo with them in it. All is safe and good. Just a little wet. 🙂 We love our couples. Kim and Fred are excited about their wedding in Vancouver, Washington this coming October.
